A PC Perspective Live Review Recap is a recorded version of a previously live streamed event from https://pcper.com/live. If you couldn't make the original air time, or simply want to re-watch, the on-demand version is provided below!
Today has been a busy day for the PC Perspective crew. Not only have we published like 100 graphics card reviews in the last three days but we also held a live event at the offices to host NVIDIA's Tom Petersen to discuss and debate the release of the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti.
If you need to catch up, you should check out our GeForce GTX 660 Ti review posted earlier today to learn all about this $299 GPU that offers very compelling performance that competes with the HD 7950 and leaves the HD 7870 a fairly distant second. Based on the same GK104 chip as the GTX 680 and the GTX 670, the GeForce GTX 660 Ti should find a lot of new homes this week.
For this event we not only gave a short presentation with some demos and review discussion, we also featured questions from the hardware subreddit and gave away an EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Ti to a lucky viewer!
Stay tuned to PC Perspective for more events and contests and the best reviews anywhere on PC hardware!!

It is still not the perfect
It is still not the perfect price. The reason why the 5850 is the most popular card to this day on Steam is because performance wise, in 2009, it was like buying the GTX670 for $249. Everyone gobbled them up – and for a good reason. If a little down the road we see the 660ti for $269-ish then maybe it will be another long term winner – but that all depends on what AMD releases and when they do it.
If we look back 6 months from now – tell me this is not true!
Pathological
Pathological liar.

Most popular discrete video card is 560 Ti. Second most popular discrete is 460.
You should go write for semiaccurate, where AMD has made no mistakes and nvidia has been going bankrupt, since 2005.
P.S. why did you guys put in captchas? I don’t remember spam in the comments and theyre a PITA.

I stand corrected. I also
I stand corrected. I also hold no alliance to any particular graphics card company. I must have been reading too much semi-accurate….
What I’m saying is that graphics cards are still overpriced compared to three years ago. Yes, the performance increases do demand a higher price over their predecessors, but the mainstream market is only able to support so much before sales begin to lag. Thankfully the 660ti is 299 and not 349. If it was 269 then it would really upset the market and be an absolute no-brainer purchase for almost every gamer.
