E-WIN Champion Series Gaming Chair Review
A Good Chair - Gaming Aesthetic
I have personally been through a fair number of chairs. And I have sat way too long in many that caused back and neck pain. Finally, I started spending serious money on seating, and that has worked out rather well. Lately I have been spending some extended seat time (several hours at a stretch, but less serious actual gaming & streaming) in this Gaming / Office chair from E-WIN. It’s their Champion Series ergonomic computer chair with that gaming look so many people want. And the seat time in it has been quite good, which has suprised me a bit.
E-Win Racing has been around for quite a while, making gaming oriented gear including chairs, desks and even floormats. I would describe their chair designs as somewhat typical of the racing car to gaming chair scene without being too over the top and some of their designs are nicely subtle. Meaning that many of their designs will fit with just about any decor, which is nice.

Manufacturer Description
“With the First Stain Resistant E-WIN 2.0 PU Leather. It can be cleaned repeatedly without surface damage by using a clean cloth. Also it surpasses industry performance standards for strength abrasion, hydrolysis, and UV stability, while retaining the looks and feels most like real leather that made it so popular.”
The Box & What’s In It?
I was slightly concerned by the state of the box after it arrived, hoping nothing was damaged. It’s somewhat heavy, I do feel for the FedEx wranglers. But everything was very well packed. I have bought a few similar chairs in the past, and the packing from E-WIN was by far the best and most well packed I have seen. Do not underrate this aspect, as heavy boxes do get a fair amount of abuse during shipping. Plus it does come all the way from China, surprise!
The finish on the aluminum 5 point base was outstandingly glossy BTW
The Basic Dimensions & Parts
Some assembly required, of course. But everything is included, with a few spares. Plus the white gloves are included so you can easily handle all the pieces without getting finger prints on the glossy bits.
The instructions are well illustrated and easy to follow. Assembly tools were included and useful. Most of the hardware was already in the places they needed to be. There was just a noticeable level of detail, and a well intentioned push towards being customer friendly with this experience so far. The parts all appeared to be of higher quality then at least three other similar chairs I have assembled in the past. So in my experience, this has seemed to be the highest quality and best experience for a race look gaming chair I have assembled yet.
Finish and Materials
The chair itself is wide and comfortable for seating in its class for sure. The armrests do not offer much cushion, but are 4D adjustable. It seems they are taking notes from the higher end chairs and bringing some of those features to far more modestly priced seating, which is not a bad thing. The armrests tilt inwards, move slightly inwards / outwards, up and down of course, and finally back and forward slightly. This is well improved from older designs and features. Not quite as good as my usual Steelcase seating, but definitely moving in the right direction for a fraction of the price.
The seating material is definitely the nicest I have seen for a gaming style chair, with a good texture and feel. Does not seem like low end covering at all. During long gaming sessions, I would have preferred a bit more breathability, but that’s often a trade off between a cloth covering and one that is more leather-like IMO. The seams are well done, and the parts you don’t normally see – such as the bottom of the chair, all well finished.
Gaming Use
I have been using this chair during regular gaming and streaming sessions for about a month now, and I’m impressed with the level of comfort and quality for under $400 currently in a chair of this style. Like I said, I have had experience with several of these chairs, and have not been super impressed with their comfort and quality over time. So far, this E-WIN Racing chair is proving the be the best so far, and I do not mind spending long hours in it.
I think there are many of us that like the look of these chairs, but have found that using them is not very comfortable. You’d mostly be right, in my opinion. Using this E-WIN Gaming / Office chair has got me to a point where I can use this seating for long stretches of time and not be fatigued afterwards, or constantly shifting looking for a better position – and most importantly – does not leave me with upper back and neck pain like so many other chairs have done.
Final Thoughts
If you are considering a race look gaming chair, head over to the E-WIN store and price them out as that does seem to fluctuate over time. I suspect that shipping and manufacturing slow downs are also having a pricing impact unfortunately. The tilt and swivel mechanisms work very well, and lock in with good force. The spring tension for “lean” works well also. I would say the arms are nicely adjustable for how far they go, but I am accustomed to chairs costing 3x. The fact that 4D armrest adjustments have come this far is excellent. In fact, I would not enjoy gaming and streaming with this chair if it did not have this adjustability feature in the armrests. For me so far, I am not disappointed with the experience in assembly, quality and sturdiness of materials or actual use for this chair – I mean it is heavy duty rated for up to 400lbs. At this point I can give it the Gold among the chairs of this aesthetic that I have personally assembled and used, and I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest you give E-Win Racing a serious look if you’re considering stylish seating like this.
