Once again EA has decided to include a single player campaign for the new Battlefield and it will hopefully be better than previous attempts that tended to be as gripping as 3 year old scotch tape. You can catch the trailer below if you are feeling the need to see cutscenes full of screaming and explosions and if you are interested in commentary you can pick some up at Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN. As most of the people who played the campaign of BF3 they are only familiar with the first few minutes that it takes to run a benchmark the quality of story in the single player campaign matter very little; most are more hopeful the bugs which plagued Bad Company and BF3's multiplayer will be nonexistent in the newest incarnation.
"So now I want to know: who plays the single-player bits of Battlefield games, and were you/are you excited about the fourth game’s offline shootery? Actually, you should probably wait until watching the trailer before answering that, because it looks a bit crap."

I got sick to death of the
I got sick to death of the SP, as that was used on a local forum (OcUK) and so many discussions on what was faster and at what resolution. Operation Swordbreaker I could complete in my sleep by the end of it 😀
I will say that I did recently have a play with the SP and as short as it is, I did quite enjoy it. MP all the way for action but the SP got a rough ride and maybe deserved but still enjoyable for me.
The BF4 doesn’t unlock in the UK till the 1st November, so I will spoof my IP and just have a play on the SP and again, use it for bench marking.
I always play the single
I always play the single player campaigns in the Battlefield and CoD games I buy. I paid for it. It’s there. I might as well play it. They’re never all that great, but it’s still fun to run through them. The real game is multiplayer… and I play that till my fingers bleed. I consider the single player campaign to just be a nice little bonus.
In COD, sure, but not
In COD, sure, but not Battlefield. In COD it is a major portion of the experience. In Battlefield, it’s an afterthought in an needless attempt to compete with COD (which isn’t what Battlefield players are looking for, in the first place). Of course, Bad Company titles are excepted – it’s the single player that makes those iterations such a joy.
Although I didn’t play the last COD single player all the way through . . . I quit right after the first RTS element which felt pretty broken. Never went back to it. It’s the only COD I’ve never completed.
Yep, primarily a SP gamer
Yep, primarily a SP gamer still (and with a busted Ps3 this is about all I have)
I only play offline, my 19
I only play offline, my 19 year old daughter reinforced this last year. She was in the top 100 worldwide in Halo. Do you know what happens when a young lady repeatedly spanks boys in Halo? You get DNS attacks and you lose your internet for several hours until those pussies finish playing.
Her user name was Dancer3993 in case any of you guys got smacked around by my daughter. Thankfully she got a really good job and she just logs on as her little sister from her new place to put the hurt on those punks.
That’s the console space.
That’s the console space. From personal experience, PC gamers are much more mature and kind, even to women, if you carefully pick which servers you play on.
Now to buy a $60 game and not play it to it’s fullest? That’s just admitting defeat IMO.
Poke around, and I think you’ll be happily surprised at what you can find as far as servers go.
And then you proceed to make
And then you proceed to make a sexist comment yourself……..nice job dad
Did someone mention Cyberpunk
Did someone mention Cyberpunk 2077? I’m sorry, I couldn’t hear you over the awesome fidelity that is Witcher 3.
I mainly get these games for
I mainly get these games for the singe player.
I do not have as much time as I would like to game on multiplayer so it will mainly be a bad experience where I constantly get killed.
A good single player allows people like me who do not have the time to devote hours each day, to enjoy a game.
A game is not fun if all you do is lose, and you cannot get better if you do not put the time into getting better.
