NZXT Launches Kraken X-3 and Z-3 RGB AIO Coolers

NZXT Unleashes The Kraken, Hopes Cooler Heads Prevail

NZXT has released several new RGB LED-equipped All-In-One liquid coolers under its X-3 and Z-3 series. The new AIO coolers feature a copper base waterblock, aluminum raditors, a seventh generation Asetek pump rated at 800-2,800 RPM, 400mm of nylon mesh sleeved rubber tubing, an improved pump cap that can be rotated to maintain a legible logo despite pump orientation on the socket, a RGB LED connector for NZXT RGB lighting, and improved lighting mode synchronization with other NZXT products. The new X-3 liquid coolers come in 240mm, 280mm, and 360mm radiator versions while the Z-3 coolers are available with 280mm or 360mm radiators. The coolers come equipped with Aer P high static pressure fans. The fans do not have RGB LEDs (though you can hook up Aer P 2 RGB fans on your own to the pump) but they do have colored trim that can be purchased separately. The PWM fans allegedly deliver where it counts as fans though with chamfered intakes, a winged blade design, and fluid dynamic bearings along with ratings of 21-36 dBA, 0.18-2.93mm H2O pressure, and 18.28-73.11 CFM.

The NZXT Kraken X-3 coolers feature an improved infinity mirror with 10% larger ring along with a rotatable pump cap so that the NZXT logo can remain face up. Stepping up to the Z-3 series gets a pump top with a 2.36” 320×320 resolution 24-bit color LCD display that can display system stats from NZXT CAM software or animated GIFs.

The Kraken X-3 and Z-3 coolers are compatible with AMD AM4, TR4 (bracket not included) sockets as well as LGA 1151, 1150, 1155, 1156, 1366, 2011, 2011-3, and 2066 Intel sockets.

The new coolers are available now with six-year warranties from NZXT.com in the US with wider retail availability to follow this month. The new Kraken X-3 and Z-3 coolers have MSRPs of $129.99 for the 240mm X53, $149.99 for the 280mm X63, $179.99 for the X73, $249.99 for the 280mm Z63, and $279.99 for the 360mm Z73.
