Report: NVIDIA to Launch RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU with 16 Gbps GDDR6
VideoCardz.com Says RTX 3080 Ti Mobile Arrives Next Month
Everyone’s favorite website about video cards spelled with a Z has reported on what they are calling a “confirmed” new product from NVIDIA in the notebook space, specifically an upcoming GeForce RTX 3080 Ti mobile GPU.
Quoting VideoCardz.com:
NVIDIA is about to announce its high-end RTX 30 Ti series for laptops in January.
Our sources have confirmed to us that RTX 3080 Ti will be the first mobile GPU to feature 16 Gbps GDDR6 memory, but this is not the only new feature of the new model. It is also to have a higher TGP compared to existing models.
And, if you haven’t clicked on the link and visited the source yet, here’s a helpful table from VideoCardz with some specs – though “the specifications of the RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU are not yet fully confirmed”:

The additional 10W of TGP may not seem like much to us desktop PC users, but we are talking about laptops, after all. This editor assumes that these GPUs (if this report ends up being accurate) will be found in large desktop-replacement style gaming notebooks. And, even if the machines end up being huge and need to be plugged in all the time, it’s still going to be a heck of a lot easier to score an RTX 3080 Ti in a notebook than in PCI Express card form.
