While many gamers are using the recent trend of self-quarantining as an opportunity to catch up on their backlog of games, GOG is standing by for those looking to save some money on something new to play. The GOG Spring Sale is on from today until Monday, March 30th at 2:00 p.m. UTC (10:00 a.m. EDT), discounting more than 2,500 games by up to 90 percent.
Notable discounts include XCOM 2 (75% off, $14.99), The Witcher 3 GOTY (75% off, $12.49), Hellblade (66% off, $10.19), Dishonored: Complete Collection (60% off, $31.99), Grim Dawn (80% off, $4.99), Stellaris (75% off, $9.99), and, of course, a slew of “good old games” such as Wing Commander 1 & 2 (75% off, $1.49), Dungeon Keeper (75% off, $1.49), and Heroes of Might and Magic (85% off, $1.49).
For the next two days (until Mach 18t at 2:00 p.m. UTC), GOG is also giving away “The Witcher Goodies Collection,” a new collection of artwork, wallpaper, books, soundtracks (including a Witcher 3 concert video), development videos, and more from The Witcher series. Witcher fans can grab the collection for free by logging in with their GOG account and clicking the Get it FREE button on the store’s homepage.
Also note, as is common with sales involving third party games, other digital storefronts are matching the discounted pricing for some titles (for example, XCOM 2 on Steam), so be sure to check pricing if you prefer one platform over another.
